Almost 2 years have passed since one of the most shocking events that shocked all Thai people.
Such as the shooting incident at Terminal 21 Korat
Looking back to that day, what I want everyone to remember is not just the stories that happened.
But I want us to remember the brave spirits of all the people in every sector.
Whether it's officials, private agencies or even the general public
Who stepped forward and helped or risked their lives for others in that situation.

Even though they were just ordinary people, they had never received any training.
They were never prepared to encounter something like this in their lives.
They never knew what to do at that time.
But on their worst day, they pick themselves up. What they did was
It's even more courageous than you could ever imagine.
We truly admire the strong spirit of all the brave people in that incident.
But the next question to ponder is... have we prepared to cope with it?
Is this good enough for future events of this nature?
Today .. we will not talk about the events that happened and what they were.
But let's talk about what can help us if that happens again.
We will equip everyone with additional tools so that if something bad happens again,
At least .. you will be able to make decisions faster and in this situation,
Time.. is your most valuable resource. You must use it to its fullest potential..
And here are 5 simple techniques that have been collected from comments.
of US police officers and special operations personnel
To help you, no matter who you are, survive.
From various bad incidents, such as shooting incidents
, terrorism, or other unexpected events
Which can be applied and adapted to our real lives.
1.Be the spark ... "Be mindful" ... create motivation and light the fire of hope.
To yourself and the people around you.
In the worst of times, or even in real combat in wars..
The one who comes to his senses first is the winner, if in a group of people who face an incident
There is only one person who can calm down first, he will be able to lead everyone.
We can survive these situations together, and that is the truth.
You have to start with belief.
I believe that today you are not a weak victim.
Today you will not die without fighting.
I believe that no one here wants to die without fighting.
I believe that no one here will die today.
I believe we can all do this, and we must do it now.
These beliefs are what will destroy the gnawing fear in your mind.
Help bring others back to their senses who are in shock, lost, or frozen in fear.
If you feel scared, don't worry about it. Everyone has the right to feel that way.
There is no way to force or coerce it. Everyone can be afraid, but what must be done now is
We need to be mindful and focus on finding a solution. You don't have to be the best.
Or have a lot of experience, just control your mind and be calm enough.
And if we all stick together, we can get through this. And if you can build
This feeling can be given to the people around you, and the rest of them will follow you.
When you are mindful and can bring awareness to those around you
You have a more than 90% chance of survival now. Believe that and do it.
2.Look for the exits not for the crowd :
Look for the nearest exit, not just following others blindly.
The most important thing is to be aware and assess the situation around you at all times.
At least we need to know where we are and where the nearest exits are.
We always hear the briefing beforehand, whether we are in the cinema or on a plane.
Or wherever we are going, we will hear the briefing repeated millions of times.
Talk about the nearest exit in case of an emergency.
Don't just listen to it casually and ignore it. Let's focus and be aware.
Always be aware of the nearest exit, especially if you can observe and be aware.
Even though any solution that exists in the area where we live would be great.
Because in the many catastrophic events around the world, one of the places where people die the most is
That's the walkway leading to the main exit.
Why? Because everyone is following each other.
Gather together in one place, whether it's a concert
On the plane or even on the road or in various places
They just remember which way they came in and they will go that way.
In reality, there may be more than one way out, and that path is
It may be a little closer or a little farther, but no one thinks about it.
Because everyone is not looking for a way out. Everyone just looks at other people.
Wherever you go, just follow each other.
Observing where most other people are fleeing
It's good information that we should keep in mind,
But in the end... it's better if we know where the exit is.
Just walking along without knowing where they are going.
Don't forget that ... the entrance-exit area that everyone knows ...
The perpetrators may have known the same thing as we did.
In the event of an accident, look for the nearest and fastest exit.
It's not just about looking at where other people are going, that's the most important thing.
Or if we think that we cannot escape or go to the exit at all
Choosing to find a place to hide is one of the better options than walking aimlessly.
Which may lead us to danger or encounter the perpetrator without realizing it.
3.Get low and go. - Keep your head down and step quickly.
Whether it's fire drills or military training in the camp, when something happens
The instructions and procedures are simple and almost exactly the same.
It's all about keeping your head down and finding the quickest way out.
The same goes for shooting incidents… The more we crouch down or bow our heads,
The closer we move to cover, the better our chances of survival.
Think simple... Always be the hardest target to shoot...
Hunters don't like hard-to-chew prey... so let's be the most evasive.
Using cover and keeping your head down will help you avoid being targeted.
Easily and quickly… keep your distance from the gunfire you hear.
But if we are lucky and have the opportunity to leave the area safely, what should we do next?
That's how we show the officers that we're not bad guys, raise your hands and walk out of line.
From the area to make it more convenient for officials to work.
If you have important information or have a chance to see the perpetrator, the authorities will help.
Those still in the area, information about those still trapped in the building, or information that is felt
It is useful for officers to deal with incidents. Please inform nearby officers.
The more information there is, the more likely it is that an event will end.
4.If you can't get out .. Hide !! - If you feel like you can't get out, hide!
If the location where we hear the gunshots is so close that we feel like we can't escape,
Or are you at a point where you don't know where the exit is? What is your best choice at that time?
Hide... Find a room with thick walls and lots of cover to put furniture in.
Put up as many tables or anything as possible to block the entrance.
And get out of that area, avoiding the door and window areas.
Try to hide in the deepest part of the room.
Because the perpetrator was unable to open the door or see the shelter behind the door.
There may be an attempt to shoot through the door or nearby wall. In the meantime, do not make any noise.
Or stay in such a position, reduce the risk of being detected as much as possible.
And most importantly, don't forget to turn off the lights in the room and check on everyone.
Turn off all cell phones so the perpetrators don't know we're here.
Communication should be kept to life-threatening essential only.
You may want to use text messaging to send to family, close friends, or trusted people.
or relevant agencies to provide you with the latest location information
Or if possible, inform the officer of your secret code or your real name.
In case help arrives to know that the person is near the door
It's a real rescue team if we hear a secret code or name being called.
At least we can be sure that the person who knows this information is the person who received the information from us earlier.
It's not the perpetrator who came in disguise.
After providing the information, turn on Battery Saver mode or do whatever.
To make your battery last as long as possible, do not use it for unnecessary things.
Because we have no way of knowing when the event will end....
And during that time, do not open the door!
From past incidents, the perpetrators often use various deception techniques.
Whether it's calling or knocking on the door, disguising yourself as someone who wants to escape.
Or even pretending to be a rescue worker to trick people into opening the door.
Remember, at the moment these incidents occur, they will show no mercy to the victims.
If you open the door, you may become a victim.
So ... if you are not sure that it is a real rescue officer, do not open the door.
5.Worst case, throw stuff and charge.
If the situation is the worst... put everything in without holding back!
If you have no weapon, no way to escape, no idea what to do, no chance to bow your head.
Or escape in any way and in front of you is the perpetrator.
No matter what, the best thing you can do at that moment is to fight!
When an average person decides to charge at a criminal, it may seem no different than
Soldiers who run into a hail of bullets or jump into a bomb, it takes courage.
And everything that was on your mind at that time, but if it gets to that point,
You have to do it anyway, because it's the best thing to do. It's better than just standing around!
Especially if you have a loved one or children with you at that moment... you don't even have to think about it.
We have to do it for them. Think of it as doing everything to show that.
The villains in front of us will never be able to touch the people we love.
If we have to die, at least we will die because we fought it to the utmost.
Your best tool at that moment is your belongings. If you carry a bag
It could be a notebook, book, mobile phone, iPad, keys or anything else.
Throw everything at the bad guys because it will buy you a split second.
When you throw it, run and charge it as fast as you can, do whatever it takes to knock it down.
Let it fall and unleash your madness
Will bite, will tear, will punch, will smash the face, will smash the target, will poke the eyes.
Do whatever it takes to make it hurt the most. There are no rules at this moment.
If there is a trash can, anything close at hand, take it and hit it hard.
The more the hand that holds the weapon, the more you can crush, hit, or stomp it in any way you want.
Let that thing slip out of your hand....
At least that's the best we can do. If we win.. we go home.
But if we lose ... at least the condition must not be different from ours.
Another additional thing I would like to leave you with is Free your mind ..
Let your mind be calm, stay focused, and always look for new opportunities.
Because it is what will allow us to survive in every situation.
Nothing hurts us more than a condition called Freeze Up.
Or being in a state of dazedness, stiffness, brain fog, not knowing what to do.
In addition to standing still, if you are at risk
Mindfulness is the most important thing in your life!
The picture below is one of the shooting incidents.
At Fort Lauderdale Airport in 2017.
When the perpetrator took out a gun and started shooting
What happened was that the people around them stood still, shocked.
Until I didn't know what to do next. Until I realized that I had to hide in a shelter.
It was about 5 seconds later, which was very lucky at the time.
The perpetrator did not look back, so everyone in the image was safe.
Or you can watch the video here.
The most important thing I want to leave everyone with is to be mindful.
Constantly assess risks and look for solutions.
If things don't go according to plan, look for the next one.
If the main exit is blocked, look for other exits.
If you are bleeding, try to improvise and find something to stop the bleeding.
If you are stuck in a room with the assailant, look for a thin wall.
That's a piece of plywood that you can run through.
If you hit a dead end, create your own path.
Keep calm and stay calm. There is always a way out.
Keep an open mind and always look for new opportunities.
This way, you will be able to survive in every situation from now on.
