Jason Everman ชายผู้หันหลังให้เสียงดนตรี และก้าวเข้าสู่วิถีนักรบของ Green Beret Valor Tactical
Have you ever heard the phrase "If you're in the wrong place at the wrong time, whatever you do will be wrong"?
I believe that this man's story best defines that sentence.
Because he is the man behind two great bands of his era.

If I were to say that this guy was in both Nirvana and Soundgarden,
He was one of the main driving forces of the band before leaving the band.

Go before they become best-selling legends
A total of 100 million albums were sold in the following years.

I believe that everyone may regret the missed opportunity.
But that's not the case for this man named Jason Everman.
He is the one who writes his own destiny, and this is his story…

Back in his early high school days, Jason Everman was a guitarist.

Along with drummer Chad Channing, who later became Nirvana's drummer.

After some persuasion from a friend, Jason Everman
He stepped in as the second guitarist and fourth member of the band.
Of the band Nirvana, which at that time could be called the starting point of the band.

At that time, Nirvana was recording a song for
The release of their first album, "Bleach", in 1989.

That era was a difficult time for the band because the expenses were quite high.
And none of the band members have savings or even jobs.
There was only one person, the only member of the band who had a job and money at that time.

That man is Jason Everman, and what he did was he used his own money.
Total $606.17 or approximately 20,000 baht.
So that the band can have their own first album....

Although it wasn't the album that made Nirvana explode with popularity
Which they would later do with an album called Nevermind.
Which became an iconic music album of the 90s.

But in the beginning, he traveled with a small van.
and traveled around the United States to perform concerts, but suddenly the weather was not on our side.

When Jason found out that playing in this band
It was not his true happiness, he felt that it was not his world.
He can no longer speak or express his opinions freely.
Everything became tense, causing him to start distancing himself from his bandmates.
He started to have symptoms of depression and things started to get worse..

Shortly after, the band Nirvana
It was also announced that the concert tour in New York would be cancelled.
Lightning fast and return home immediately
Amidst the shock of fans at that time

And Jason Everman was immediately fired from the band.
From mental health to his behavior
Started distancing himself from the band members. Last sentence.
What he said to the band members after finding out
He was kicked out of Nirvana, like, "Okay, see you later."

And to this day, Jason Everman has never received it.
The recording fee for the Bleach album up until now ...

After that, Jason was immersed in sadness and had no purpose.
Until shortly after, he was given another chance.
He joined the band Soundgarden as a bassist.
In the future, that band became another band.
That was just as successful as Nirvana.

But fate played a joke on him again.
When the old feelings come back to haunt him again
And that made his condition worse.

Jason Everman was eventually kicked out of the band once again.
At that point, he realized that ... "His life and the world of music
It's not his place anymore. He's never been truly happy.
With this world, it's time for him to find a new goal in life."

Shortly after, he went on to play music with the band Mind Funk.
For a while, but when he was 26 years old
He turned his back on the music and walked into another door.
What no one expected... He enlisted as a soldier!

When he first entered Fort Benning, he had a short haircut.
After removing the nose ring, his face looked like that of an ordinary soldier.
No one who went in there to train knew who he was until...

Kurt Cobain, the lead singer and leader of Nirvana.
And the person who had kicked Jason out of the band committed suicide mysteriously.
The incident caused sadness to the music industry and made headlines.
In every major newspaper and media outlet across the United States ..

And when the history of Nirvana was brought up,
A picture of one of the band's founding members also appeared.
At that moment, the sergeant in charge of training saw this picture and called Jason.
While pointing at the picture and asking, "Is that you?"

Jason simply replied, "Yes, sir!"
Jason's story has been talked about throughout the base.
Everyone said regrettably that

"Jason doesn't have to go through any trouble.
Or come and do something like this even though he can live his life
In a way that everyone in this base dreams of! "

"No… that's not my world anymore.
This is where I am. This is where I feel most at peace and myself."

Soon after, Jason was recruited into the Ranger unit.
He carried out numerous missions in many battlefields before he regained consciousness.
He said he wanted to go further, be at a higher point, and have a life in the military.
Make him determined, ambitious and self-assured.

Jason Everman has been trained and joined
The Green Beret unit later joined
Fighting in many of the world's major battlefields, including Iraq
, Afghanistan, including being able to carry out various important missions
During his service life

"In the end, what I really want is a meaningful life.
Not a life that is outstanding or famous, but a life that feels like our actions
It really benefits and helps people," Jason said.

Even though he might get a little irritated at times
From the side effects of depression, but it doesn't hurt him anymore.
He discovered that the starting point of his symptoms was a feeling that
He thought that what he was doing was not beneficial to anyone.
Even with himself, that was the beginning of the feelings that had been eating at him for a long time.

But life in the army is different... every mission... every action
It has meaning, it has visible results, it makes him feel that
He can create many benefits for other people.
Without having to stand out or be famous in any way.

He has no fans, no one needs to know what he's doing, he's free.
At the same time, he can create benefits and see
The value of one's own life again, through battles... through wars...

Jason Everman retired from the Army in 2006.
And his next goal is to attend university.
He attended Columbia University, receiving a letter of recommendation.
From General Stanley McChrystal, Commander of the Armed Forces
NATO's Afghanistan commander and then JSOC commander.

And he graduated with a bachelor's degree in philosophy.
Before completing his master's degree in military history

He later became a military advisor.
and is a professor at a college
In 2014, he was invited to participate as
Of the Nirvana members who were honored to be appointed
In the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame

Even though he turned his back on the world of music
But he didn't just abandon everything.

He formed the band with fellow veterans in 2017.
In the band name "Silence and Night" which later
Released the first album in 2019 with the producer who received the award
Grammy Award winner Josh Gudwin

All proceeds from this band will be donated to support veterans organizations.
and the community of former special operations officers up until the present
