For over 20 years, small underwater vehicles have been used to transport SEAL personnel and equipment.
For special operations, also known as Seal Delivery Vehicle [ SDV ].
Has continuously served special operations officers in every battlefield.



Now ... it's time for a big change.

It has been reported that there are currently two new small underwater vehicles.

It has been put into service and is currently in the process of being delivered.
Have the SEAL SDV Unit conduct training to familiarize themselves with the new equipment.


The latest small underwater vehicle, or SDV Mark 11
It is set to replace the SDV Mark 8, which has been in service since 2003.

The main highlight of the SDV Mark 11 is its much longer size.
It has a total length of 22 feet and weighs approximately 4,000 pounds ( 1,814 kilograms).
It helps to carry a lot more personnel and luggage.
Comes with the latest upgraded navigation system

Although in use, officers still need to wear diving suits and the new SDV.
And it is still designed to be used in conjunction with the Dry Deck Shelter of large submarines.



Back in October 2019, Teledyne technologies
Won the Contact bid for more than $178 million to develop
SDV Mark 10 and Mark 11 vehicles and delivered to the Maritime Special Operations Command.

This is the small underwater propulsion vehicle or SDV.
It was designed using the concept that

" It is a vehicle designed for special operations personnel.
In the infiltration/retreat in the enemy's dangerous area"
