The PVS-31 Battery Retention System is a device that securely attaches the PVS-31 battery to the helmet using features found on most helmets on the market. The battery is stored in a casing that attaches to the helmet with Velcro and is held in place via three mounting points. Two side mounting points attach to the helmet using chinstrap screws or via an accessory rail. A third, adjustable bridge mounting point connects to the IR Strobe mount and attaches to the top of the helmet with Velcro. There are also tie-down points on the front of the mount for attaching a strobe cord and securing the system to the front of the helmet.
