Many of you probably know the UZI submachine gun very well as a famous submachine gun from Israel.
Many countries use the UZI submachine gun in both police and military units.
Even Malaysia itself uses the UZI submachine gun, with the UZI Pro submachine gun seen in action.
With the Malaysian Police Force, which is the bodyguard unit of His Majesty King Abdullah of Pahang.
So why is it unusual for Malaysia to have a UZI submachine gun in service?
That is because Malaysia does not have diplomatic or economic relations with Israel.
The reason is that Malaysia does not recognize Israel as a country.
But at the same time, it recognizes Palestine, Israel's rival, as a state.
This means that the two countries no longer have diplomatic or economic relations with each other.
There is also a conflict between them, which is why Malaysian government agencies use UZI machine guns from Israel.
It's a strange thing.
